A PRAYER FOR THANKSGIVING

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

1 Chronicles 29:13 (NIV)

Lord, this Thanksgiving does not look like it usually does. My heart is saddened by those who are not able to be here. Father, I pray that you fill all of our hearts with special moments of thankfulness even though so much has changed.

I pray that you remind us of what we can be thankful for and help us to appreciate all that we do have. Remind us that making memories can happen every day… we just may need to be a little more creative this year.

I also pray that in this time of distancing we will place a higher value on our loved ones and friends. Help us to treasure them as the blessings they are. Father deepen all of our relationships.

May You overflow our hearts with a thankfulness from the simple things in life, such as an uncomplicated conversation, warm food to enjoy, health in our body, and the joy from connecting with our loved ones in one way or another.

Lord, thank You for all that You have done and all that You are continuing to do for each of us. We are never alone, You promise to be with us and never leave us. Be our guest this Thanksgiving . . . and always!

In this difficult season help us to resist fear and know that You, God are with us!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

May God richly BLESS you all,

Dawn
