STAY UNIQUE, Get PLANTED and GROW

STAY UNIQUE. Get PLANTED and GROW.

Be uniquely you!

I know I say often that you are unique, but I mean it.

You may feel like you are ordinary, or mundane or maybe different, or quirky … But God calls you wonderful.

The following picture inspired this message.

I was admiring the flowers in bloom, when I saw one flower hanging down from all the others, it caught my eye and I stopped to take in its beauty. I thought to myself, Wow! Look at that one flower hanging down doing its own thing. Planted in the same pot, the same soil, seed and water, yet it grew differently. Immediately I lifted my thought to God, That is like us. We are all planted together yet each one is growing uniquely.

My heart for you is that you continue to grow into your own unique self. I pray that you do not minimize who you are or ignore what you are called to do. You are VALUED in God’s heart and VALUABLE to those around you.

My heart for you is that you continue to grow into your own unique self. I pray that you do not minimize who you are or ignore what you are called to do. You are VALUED in God’s heart and VALUABLE to those around you.

You are a blessing to those around you.

Not only were you created wonderfully, with specific strengths, gifts, and talents and ways of seeing life, but you were also created to be a vital part of God’s body called the Church.

God’s “A” plan for each of His kids is to GROW in community.

1. God has established the church to be a place where we can become deeply rooted in our faith. God’s “A” plan is for believers to join together and cultivate a rich relationship with our heavenly Father. We are God’s children and we get to grow together with our spiritual brothers and sisters.

2. We are all a work in progress. But if growing in community is God’s “A” plan, then we need to jump in and find those we can invest in and trust. Sometimes it can be hard to trust others but that is when we can rely on God to care for our heart. Keeping our eyes on Jesus and appreciating each other’s uniqueness, we will grow with one another. Community is a wonderful place to be.

3. In a community is where we can develop an abundant life. We can take our Christian life to a new depth. We can grow and become stronger. We can bear much fruit. We can challenge one another in our daily walk with God and be there for one another as accountability partners when we need it.

Through community we can explore ways in which we can grow, develop our faith, and become deeply rooted.

Psalm 1:3 (NASB)

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season. And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

STAY UNIQUE. Get PLANTED and GROW.

Another bonus I have found with community is that we can develop deep friendships when we serve together. Serving becomes a multifaceted blessing. First and foremost, God will use our gifts to glorify Himself and to bless others. Next, we will discover more of our God-given talents as we use the gifts that we have been given. God can also open doors of many kinds just by us being available and ready to serve. We will be filled with peace and joy as we are using our gifts to glorify God.

Friend, there are many places and ways that we can get planted, grow and use our gifts to serve God as we serve others wherever we are.

Let me know where God has you focused:

  • Is it to recognize the unique amazing love relationship He has already purposed for you? If you understand His amazing love for you… you will see yourself in a new light of His love. That is life changing, I know this firsthand. Our deep walk is developed when we recognize how LOVED we are by our God.

  • Is it to trust God with your heart as you jump into a group, connect with others, and become a blessing, as you enrich your own life? In community is where my growth was enriched by coming along side other believers who sharpened me and my faith.

  • Is it to ask God for an area in church or in your life where He wants you to serve Him, as you serve others? Serving God by loving others can be our way of life.

Know I am praying for you. You are unique. You are loved by God. He has specific plans for you in which He will shine through you every day.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10(NKJ)

Blessings and much love,

Dawn
